Despite the wide variety of cosmetic face masks available in stores, a lot of people prefer home remedies that have been tested for years.
Because masks made with your own hands are sometimes very effective than purchased ones.
You know exactly what you put on your face and you choose all the ingredients and mix them yourself.

Soda mask

It struggled with skin imperfections with the unique cleansing and scrubbing properties of soda. Duration of application is between one and three months.

Recipe: Mix 1 teaspoon of baking soda and warm honey to make a plastic mass. Keep it on for 20 minutes, then rinse it off with water. If you want to add the effect of lightening the skin, you can add a drop or two of lemon juice. Please note that this mask is not suitable for those who are allergic to honey. It should be used carefully by owners of thin, dry and sensitive skin.

Effect: The mask cleans well, removes excess oil, removes inflammation, gets rid of blackheads and acne, narrows pores, improves skin, promotes cell renewal and rejuvenation.
Honey should definitely be lukewarm! When heated above 45 Β°, however, it loses all its beneficial properties, also becomes carcinogenic.

Chicken egg mask

This mask perfectly replaces modern film masks, and the effect of it is noticeable after the first application.

Recipe: you need to break the egg, separate the white from the yolk and apply the white all over the face (avoiding the eye area with the most delicate skin). Hold for 15-20 minutes, then rinse with cool water. Since the protein has tightening properties, this remedy is not suitable for women who have dry or irritated skin.

Effect: the mask removes greasy shine, narrows enlarged pores, helps to get rid of comedones, makes the skin elastic, taut and velvety, dries out inflammation.

Moisturizing mask made of halva

This favorite Oriental sweet contains a large amount of vegetable fats, essential skin food acids, proteins, glucose, mineral salts, vitamins and trace elements.

Recipe: you need to grind a small piece of halva, add a little water and mix until a mush forms. The product should be kept on the face for at least 30 minutes, then rinse with water at room temperature. The mask should be used with caution for girls with oily skin.

Effect: the mask promotes cell regeneration, rejuvenates the skin and protects it from premature aging, smoothes wrinkles, moisturizes well.

Toothpaste mask

At home, you can make masks for all skin types and get rid of many problems. An excellent remedy for acne is a mask made of toothpaste.

Recipe: any toothpaste should be evenly applied to the face with a thin layer, and it does not matter whether it is wet or dry (the area around the eyes is avoided!), leave for 3 minutes, and then rinse with warm water. The mask is not suitable for sensitive skin and in case of allergic reactions to the components of the toothpaste.

Effect: the mask heals, cleanses and restores the skin, effectively fights acne, removes black spots, makes the face young and toned.

Important! You can use this mask no more than once a week. You can enhance the cleansing effect if you gently massage your face with a soft brush after applying the paste.

Yeast mask

Now it’s the turn of one of the most popular and beloved masks by many – yeast. Yeast is rich in vitamins, micro-and macronutrients, organic acids, polysaccharides and lipids. The mask is suitable for all skin types, but it has a completely magical effect in the presence of acne, comedones, in the case of dryness and dehydration, with a decrease in the elasticity and turgor of the skin.

Recipe: mix 10 grams of yeast with kefir or yogurt, apply the mask on your face, hold for 20 minutes, and then rinse with water.

Effect: the mask provides deep cleansing from the very first time. In addition, it improves the condition of problem skin, dries out inflammation, narrows pores, slows down the aging process, tones, promotes the synthesis of collagen, smoothes wrinkles.

And my personal advice for everyone: never smile until you’ve washed the mask off your skin. All facial muscles of the face should be completely motionless, otherwise you risk only deepening wrinkles. It’s better to lie down and relax. All beauty!
